You must be a current Perranporth SLSC Associate/Parent Helper member to sign-up for the award.

Be an existing member of SLSGB

Be able to swim a distance of 100m continuously (pool or calm open water)

SLSGB Award Specification

Validity: 24 months from assessment, after this date this award must be retaken

Cost £5 - To be paid directly to SLSGB at a later date.

Sign up and your coach will inform you of when assessment will be.

This award will establish a basic, limited level of competence to provide supporting water safety as a Club Safety Tube Swimmer as part of a managed club activity Club Water Safety Team.

The aim of you taking this is to help the Nipper and Youth coaches and the club support your child's beach session.

Who knows, you may really enjoy taking the award and want to get more involved with your surf life saving club yourself!
