What will be assessed:
Identify the checks that need to be completed on a rescue tube prior to use
Demonstrate the key safety points related to swimming in open water with a rescue tube
Carrying a Rescue Tube under control for a 100m run on level ground. The 100m needs to be covered in 40seconds or less.
From the water’s edge, carrying a Rescue Tube under control, enter the water to a swimming depth and then demonstrate a competent swim of 50m.
Taking the appropriate action, approach the casualty instruct the casualty in the use of the tube and tow the casualty to shore demonstrating appropriate aftercare
The trainers will go through this before the assessment
