We are back! Our awesome sea swim/wade/run across Perranporth beach.
This year the Perranporth Youth Challenge Aquathon event takes place straight after the new adult (17yrs and up) event 'The Perranathlon'.
All child competitors will be fitted with timing chips and race swim hat.
There is a medium course for ages 8-10 and a longer course for ages 11-16. The medium and long courses are open to all children who are SLSGB members. NB: Children must be aged 8-16 years by 31st December 2022.
Registration, marshalling and the event finish this year is over at the Surf Life Saving Club, past the Watering Hole on the beach.

RACES START 1.45pm
Course details will be announced at race briefing as conditions on the day will have to be taken into account. The Event Organizers reserve the right to amend the Race format, change the date or to cancel the Race. The Event Organizers will only exercise these rights due to circumstances beyond their control.
[As usual, there will be a separate short course exclusively for children aged 7 who are members of Perranporth SLSC which will run just before the main event. Details of this will be circulated to applicable parents and children when we are "back on the beach".]
Cancellation Policy
From the moment Perranporth SLSC begin to organise an event, we start to incur costs. Member's entry fee is invested into the cost of staging the event; hiring facilities, hiring and buying equipment. In short, organising any event requires a considerable amount of forward planning, risk and expense. Once you pay your entry fee that money is spent and with it Perranporth SLSC aims to provide you with a race.
Perranporth SLSC reserve the right to amend the Race format, change the date or to cancel the Race. We will only exercise these rights due to circumstances beyond our control - Such as adverse weather conditions, natural disasters.
Any cancellation on entries made before 22nd Aug - 50% refund
Thereafter no refund unless at our discretion (for extreme reasons)
