Perranathlon 2022

Closing Date: Sat, 03 Sep 2022 - 09:00

Perranporth Surf Life Saving Club are proud to invite you to our first ever, Perranathlon!

New name, fresh event, same question ...are you tough enough?

This extreme beach and sea trial of mind and body, will test your metal like nothing else can. Join us.

Competitors will start off with a chunky 1km surf swim, followed by a dusty 10k run over the beach, cliff and dunes , then it's back into the ocean for a 750m leg sapping wade followed by a final tasty all-out 500m beach sprint.

No bike required.
Just goggles, trainers and grit (wetsuit, if you insist). That is all. Complete the course to earn your title as a Perranathlete.

This event is bought to you by the team behind the Perranporth Extreme Surf Triathlon, recognised as one of the UK' oldest and toughest triathlons.

You may be wondering what's happened to our triathlon. Unfortunately due to the major roadworks taking place in Cornwall on the A30 it's not safe or practical for us to host a cycle route this year. Sad, yes - but we're actually quite delighted - we've wanted to host this grizzly event for years - and now's our chance!

The event supports Perranporth Surf Life Saving Club and members young and old come together with the community, local businesses, provide support and safety cover for the whole race day. You will truly feel the amazing vibe this brings to the whole event with the whole beach cheering you on.

The question remains... are you tough enough?

Follow us on Facebook for up to date event information or bookmark our website where you can check out who has entered, enter online, check out photos and read our archives of past Perranporth Surf Life Saving Club Extreme Events.

We look forward to seeing you on the sandy start line.
